All is set for the 32nd edition of the Media Parliament of Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) holding on Thursday, 28th July, 2022 in Ilorin, the state capital.
The event, which is themed “Repositioning Local Government Administration for Good Governance at the Grassroots”, will hold at the NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 2:00pm
According to a statement jointly signed by the Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Fatimah Rasheed and Secretary, Babajide Fadeyi, the media parliament would feature Architect Aliyu Muhammad SAIFUDDEEN (FNIA), Hon. Commissioner for Local Government Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Kwara State, as Guest Speaker.
The theme of the 32nd edition of the media platform was deliberately chosen to dissect the place of local government as a fulcrum of governance and being the third tier of government.
The statement noted that such an occasion affords media professionals a suitable platform
