Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will on Tuesday 10th of November, 2020 hold its 29th Edition of Media Parliament, a lecture series of the Council, as part of 2020 Pre-Press Week activities.
The edition with the theme: #ENDSARS: The Effects of Civil Unrest in a Nation and Way Forward”, will be held at the Press Centre, No. 28, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin, beginning from 11:00am.
According to a statement signed by the State Chairman and Secretary, Mall. Umar Abdulwahab and Deacon Omotayo Ayanda respectfully, Engr. (Asiwaju) Moshood Shittu, Vice President, Institute for Crises Resolution, Peace Building and Reconciliation, Abuja is expected to deliver the lecture.
The statement added that Media Parliament is a forum designed for interaction with top-rated media practitioners and is principally aimed at informing, enlightening and educating Nigerians, as well as bridging the information gap between leaders and the public.
“In view of crises been witnessed in many part of the country, the guest is expected to make a presentation on the activities of his Institute on how to manage various conflicts arising from recent development in the country”, the statement added.
However, after the presentation, the guest will attend to questions from panelists and participants in attendance, while members are encouraged to attend the lecture.
