The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has said that it received the death of a frontline Yoruba Broadcaster, Adeyemi Qazeem, with utter shock and disbelief.
It described Adeyemi’s transition as saddening and colossal loss not just for NUJ where he was a prominent member but the entire humanity.
This was contained in a condolence message issued in Ilorin today, which was signed by the state NUJ Chairman, ‘Lanre Ahmed and Secretary, Omotayo Ayanda.
The statement identified Adeyemi Qazeem as a thoroughbred professional broadcaster, who deployed his human resources for the growth and development of broadcast industry.
The Kwara NUJ added that the late broadcaster would be remembered for devotion and selfless service to the cause of the Almighty Allah.
The statement condoled the immediate family of Adeyemi Qazeem, management, staff of Radio Kwara and Radio Kwara Chapel of NUJ in particular.
While praying for the repose of his soul, the NUJ prayed the Almighty Allah to give the bereaved family the fortitude to endure the tragic loss.
